Jesse Travis

Jesse graduated with honors from New Mexico State University with degrees in business and communications. Prior to becoming a part owner of GPS Wealth Strategies, his background includes positions in sales, finance, and executive support with AT&T. Jesse completed a tenure at "Wall Street Academy" conducted by the respected Greico Financial Training Institute in New York City. He is currently pursuing his Master of Arts in Financial Services degree and Certified Financial Planner certification simultaneously.  

Mr. Travis is a registered National Social Security Advisor with the National Social Security Association and is also a certified Financial Education Instructor with the National Financial Educators Council. He has extensive knowledge and training in the areas of Social Security distribution strategies and Medicare program options. Jesse regularly conducts educational and informational seminars about those topics and works with clients to maximize their social security income in relation to their other retirement assets.

Jesse is a vetted SmartVestor Pro and follows Dave Ramsey's common-sense approach to investing and debt control.  Jesse is committed to educating and teaching his clients how their money works and creating a positive foundation for retirement.  In addition to being a SmartVestor, Jesse has also completed the Financial Coach Master Training and is Ramsey Solutions Master Financial Coach.

Jesse is happily married to his beautiful wife Judi and they have two daughters, Ainsley and Tenley. An ideal day for Jesse is spent on the lake with his family or outdoors shooting anything that flies. Jesse is a member of Leadership San Antonio, San Antonio LOOP, and is the Development Chair and a Trustee at the Witte Museum. Jesse donates his time at several local non-profits and is an active member of his church.
